The entrance to the Holy Place is veiled by a waterfall of blood. It pours without ceasing from the wounds of the Crucified One.
This shower of blood reveals our sin, and at the same time covers it. It flows within our flesh and cleanses us. Beyond the descending blood, the ascending flames infuse our inner being. They turn us into a whole burnt offering arising as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
For flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. But each who dies in Christ has a glorified new body. It is illumined by the furnace of His heart. By this light we pass through death. A door to heaven opens to a wider light.
The inheritance of the children of light
At first it appears blank. At first our bodies feel unfamiliar. But instead of coming into this world crying like new-born babes, we enter with shouts of joy. The deep desires of our hearts leap into fulfilment. The new light blanks out all transgression. It banishes signs of corruption and age. Wrinkles, fat, grey hair and deformities have disappeared. Renewed features emerge on our faces in the image of God.
Christ shines through our perfected lineaments. In His light we see into and through each other. We become Christ communing with Christ, member to member, love to love, light to light. We gaze through prisms of mutually reflected glories. The fiery colors of the twelve precious gems of Israel become the inheritance of the children of light.
Then I was drawn unwillingly from this realm of infinite beauty through the entrances which I had crossed, back to earth. But the twelve gems remained hidden and embedded in my heart. From that time onward I would keep returning to that secret and sacred place. And I would pray that my fellow partakers of flesh and blood may also partake of the glories of the age to come.
