PODCAST. The spoken word strikes us in a way that the written word cannot. It carries the personality and the spirit of the speaker. The tone and inflection help us understand what he really means.

When I only read his words, I too often take them the wrong way. I impose my own mood and meaning on them.

Because of this, God wants us to hear His voice, not just to know His words. The more we hear God’s voice in His words, the more we will recognize when He is speaking to us through others. And also importantly, when He is not.

Reading these visions aloud helps me to engage in them once again. I hope in this podcast I communicate to you the excitement of discovery as God takes me on each visionary journey.

I hope you will not just listen but ride along with me. And I hope that after the ride is over, God will take you on more journeys. In the Spirit we can travel to far more places than our vehicles and bodies can take us.

Enter by the gate

John 10:1-4 (NIV). “I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice…I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
